I'm Andrew Stege, a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) based in Michigan. I bring genuine curiosity and attention to every session, my goal is to understand what's really going on for you, not just move through a checklist.
As an LLPC, I practice under the supervision of a fully licensed clinician, so you benefit from experienced oversight in addition to your work with me. I also keep my caseload intentionally small, so you're never just a name on a schedule.
I work with teens and adults on a wide range of concerns, drawing on Psychodynamic, ACT, CBT, and DBT-informed approaches to build a course of treatment suited to you rather than a fixed protocol.
I draw on a few complementary approaches so that treatment fits you, rather than a one-size-fits-all script. Together, we'll find the right balance of insight, acceptance, and practical skills.
We'll examine how your history, relationships, and patterns you may not fully recognize continue to shape your present. Understanding the root of an issue is often what makes change last.
Rather than fighting difficult thoughts and feelings, we'll work on holding them with more flexibility, so you can get clear on what matters most to you and start living accordingly.
A practical framework for understanding how your thoughts, feelings, and actions influence one another, so we can identify unhelpful patterns and build ones that serve you better.
We'll bring in DBT skills, including distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and mindfulness, to help you navigate intense moments and feel steadier day to day.
Persistent worry, low mood, burnout, or a background sense of dread. We'll work to understand what's driving it and loosen its hold on your daily life.
Whether it happened recently or years ago, trauma deserves care and patience. I offer a safe space to work through it at a pace that feels right for you.
Identity questions, school stress, social pressure, and the broader ups and downs of this stage of life. I offer grounded, practical support suited to where you are.
Breakups, career changes, grief, and other major life shifts. Transitions can unsettle your sense of who you are, and therapy can help you find your footing again.
LLPC stands for Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, a Michigan credential for therapists working toward full licensure. I practice under the ongoing supervision of a fully licensed clinician, so you receive experienced oversight in addition to my direct attention to your care.
There's no waitlist. After a free 15-minute call, we can typically schedule your first full session that same week.
Sessions are private-pay: $110 for ongoing sessions, $140 for your first intake. I accept cash or credit card, so there's no insurance paperwork or claims to manage.
Sessions take place on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll just need a quiet, private space and a device with internet access. Many clients find telehealth more comfortable and easier to keep up with than in-person visits. Please note: I'm currently licensed to see clients located in Michigan only.
That uncertainty is common, and it's worth discussing directly. The free consultation is a low-pressure conversation about what's going on for you and whether working together feels like a good fit.
I primarily draw on Psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and DBT-informed skills. Treatment is shaped around you rather than a fixed protocol applied to every client.
